CannaShame Network to presented the first annual "Impact award" to an individual whose remarkable actions and unwavering commitment to service have left an indelible mark on our hearts. This award is being presented to someone who, at last year's event, jumped into action to assist an attendee during a medical emergency, embodying the spirit of compassion and selflessness.
Our recipient, Stanley Atkins II, is not just an ordinary individual; he is an extraordinary force for good in our community and beyond. A retired US Navy Veteran and Firefighter Paramedic, Stanley has dedicated his life to saving lives and improving the well-being of others.
As the CEO of The Good Medic LLC, he has worked to educate on the benefits of cannabis, earning him the moniker "The CanniMedic." Stanley's passion for medical cannabis extends beyond his business, as he serves as the Georgia Chapter President of Minorities for Medical Marijuana, working toward social equity for underrepresented communities.
But his dedication doesn't stop there. Stanley is also an educator with Veterans for Cannabis and holds the esteemed position of Director of Veterans Services with the Georgia Medical Cannabis Society.
Stanley's efforts have not gone unnoticed. He has been featured on prominent media platforms, such as The Young Turks and Vice, where his advocacy and expertise have reached a wider audience, furthering the cause of medical cannabis and veterans' services.
Stanley's work in the community extends beyond the cannabis arena. In January of this year, Stanley had his boots on the ground assisting the residents of Griffin, Georgia after an EF-3 tornado impacted the area.
Today, we recognize and honor Stanley for his outstanding contributions and his work in the cannabis community and beyond. He embodies the values of compassion, dedication, and service, and it is with great pride that we present him with this well-deserved award.
